‘Waynes palms’ have been removed by Council.
A dozen Coastal Banksias have been planted on Lambert Island
Level Crossing Removal Project – Mordialloc Railway precinct
Judy and Travis have been accepted onto the Stakeholders group.
Important to emphasize –
- That to save Groves Reserve SCOPE would need to be relocated? It will be out of action we presume while works are in progress.
- Pine Cres cross over. Left turn confusion.
- Frankston side station buildings. Can they be relocated?
- More trees around the new station.

Green Wedge Coalition
Kingston Heath Reserve is under attack. Proposed new synthetic hockey field in the place of the cricket ground, a full size basketball court.
Environment and Open Spaces Advisory Committee
Has had its last meeting. The new Council will decide on its future
Kingston Residents Association
Are organizing a Council Candidate Forum. Sunday 6th October Time ?
Members and Kelvin Thomson are meeting with the Minister for Planning on October 10th
Mordialloc Creek Community (Boating & Fishing)
Wayne has had a meeting with Council and Melbourne water regarding the drains to the bay. The system is strained. The Settlement drain is clogged with sediment that has been left in large amounts nearby and is washing in. No action until after LXR leave!
Bradshaw Bushland Reserve

The Grange
Annual General Meeting 15th September to be held at the Greenlink Nursery. There will be an illustrated presentation on birds.
A bird survey is done once a month.
Council have organized ecologist Angus Hamilton from Life Gone Wild to walk through the Grange as part of Biodiversity Week 14th September 10 til 12
Other business
Sauna for Icebergers (Wayne)
Have been given a permit for a mobile sauna. The Sailing Club have leased them the land. It has been placed in an inappropriate place and trimmed back the bushes for it to fit. Beginning of commercialism on the foreshore.
The Legends of the Creek (Wayne)
The Yacht Club has an award for people who deserve this title.
Wayne has spoken to Gary Spencer and would like to nominate others including our Mary. He has already interviewed her. Watch this space.
